Those of us who know the megalomaniac Gambia strongman, did not buy into what was seen as an exemplary move of conceding defeat in the just ended general elections. Now, it is obvious that this lunatic despot does not want to pack and go. Once, again, another protracted conflict is simmering in this tiny West African country. What a challenge to the AU. We have argued our despots be they elected democratically or came to power through coups to unite Africa and have one president. They have always refused. This is a big blow for democracy. We condemn this hooliganism Jammeh and his bootlickers are now displaying. ECOWAS must see to it that they dislodge Jammeh from power by all and any means possible.
