A day Kenya went to dogs

Although to vote for who they think they like is Kenyans sacred right, we need to look at the way this right was exercised. Being a sane person, firstly:
I thought that other sane bin-Adams like me'd think like me if not close to how I think. Looking at ICC indictees like Uhuru Kenyatta and his buddy William Ruto even if I loved them, I'd not vote for them. Who knows? What seems immoral to one person maybe right to another. Again, it'll take the world many centuries to see the rationale of voting for indictees and put the nation in danger. It is a reality that Uhuru Kenyatta is the forth president of Kenya. Seriously, if you ignore the charges he faces before ICC and look at his business and policy, sane mind won't even consider him to run for the highest office in the land forget about being voted in.
Sadly though, Uhuru and his comrade-in-Crime Ruto, shamelessly vied for presidency and deputy presidency. Again, it needs the courage of the mad. Ironically, while sane minds look at it this way, Kenyans looked at it in a different and baffling manner.
To me, the day Kenyans though not all voted UHURUTO in, she went to dogs. Don't ask me how can a whole nation be such parochial and archaic. Go to Nairobi and ask them how tribal alliances and votes help the nation.
I'll always be unapologetic when it comes to the rationale of how Kenyans goofed and were duped..

LEO nakuandikia rafiki yangu Absalom Kibanda ambaye ulitolewa kafara siku za hivi karibuni. Yesu angekuwapo leo angekula Pasaka nawe.
Kwani umebebeshwa mzigo wa dhambi za taaluma yetu. Ni bahati mbaya kuwa waliokusulubu ni wale wale kina Yuda na walinzi wa Kaisari na Herode mwenyewe.
Nawashitaki wenye mamlaka kwa kuyatumia vibaya kuzima na kuumiza sauti ya umma. Je, wanadhani tumesahau udhalimu wao? Katu hatujasahau. Hatujasahau mateso na unyama aliofanyiwa Dk. Steven Ulimboka wala kifo cha kinyama cha Daudi Mwangosi. Katu hatutasahau wala kusamehe ushenzi na unyama huu.
Watesi wako wanajulikana kwa sura na hata sauti na vyeo. Unawajua tunawajua. Hukumsikia Dk. Ulimboka akiwataja Usalama wa Taifa wakati ni Uhasama wa Taifa kama si Zahama ya Taifa? Hukusikia akisema kuwa wapo waliokuwa wametokea kukuu na hakuna aliyekanushwa wala kushughulikia tuhuma hizi?
Taifa gani liko salama wakati watu wanateswa hata kuuawa kinyama kila uchao? Usalama huu ni wa nani? Mungu awalaani.
Rafiki yangu Kibanda, ujumbe huu ni wako. Najua unaugulia kwa maumivu na mateso kwenye kitanda hospitalini ughaibuni. Namshukuru Mungu siandiki tanzia yako bali dokezo.
Najua unanisoma kwa taabu. Hata hivyo, nasema: Usilie rafiki yangu. Usijililie bali lilia nchi yako. Usijililie ndugu yangu. Mungu si Nkwazi. Nina hakika atawalipa watesi wako kwa kadiri ya stahiki yao.
Wajua ndugu yangu? Hawa kwa Kireno huitwa Puta, yaani wanaume ambao si riziki na woga. Wangekuwa wanaume kweli wangekuvamia usiku wakijificha nyuma ya giza? Wasen--- wakubwa hao. Wanatumiwa kama nepi na mabwana zao wanaowalipa kutekeleza kazi chafu.
Wangekuwa wanaume kweli wangekukabili mchana kila mtu akiona. Hata wanaowatuma ni hao hao watoto si riziki. Wanaume gani wanaweza kufanya mambo ya kipuuzi na kinyama tena kwa watu wasio na hatia hivi?
Rafiki yangu Kibanda, nakupa wosia wangu. Naomba uushike wosia huu. Usidanganywe na machozi ya mamba na maneno matamu. Usileweshwe na laghba na hadaa za wanafiki waliojihimu kuja Afrika Kusini kukusanifu wakijidai wanakujulia hali.
Hao ni wanafiki. Ni fisi kwenye ngozi ya kondoo. Dharau, tabasamu na maneno yao ya upole hata viapo kuwa watawasaka waliokufanyia unyama na ushenzi, lao ni moja. Usidanganywe na sentensi kama pole sana-bwana-Kibanda na nyimbo nyingine za sifa.
Laiti ningekuwa wewe hata nisingewaruhusu kuingia chumbani kwangu. Kwani huwajui wachawi na wanafiki? Wauapo au kudhuru huangusha kilio kuliko hata wafiwa.
Hizo ndizo alama zao. Watajifanya wanakujulia hali na kukuombea upone haraka. Haya ni maneno midomoni. Mioyoni wanajilaumu kwanini hukufa. Kwani hilo ndilo lilikuwa lengo lao kwako. Hiyo ndiyo mbinu yao chafu ya kupambana na wakosoaji.
Rafiki yangu Kibanda, usilie bali omba Mungu kibao kiwageukie siku moja wajikute wakilipa mara mia ya maovu waliyokutenda.
Wanaweza kutuhadaa hata sisi lakini hawatamuhadaa Mungu. Ipo siku atawaumbua tena hapa hapa duniani. Hata hivyo, nyoyo zao zinawasonga. Hawana raha duniani hata wakionesha nyuso za furaha.
Ndugu yangu Kibanda, nasema usililie jicho lako uliloibiwa. Ililie nchi yetu iliyokumbwa na uharamia na unyama. Ililie nchi inayoficha wahalifu na kuwazawadia. Ililie nchi inayopenda uchafu ikachukia usafi. Usililie jicho lako. Kwani huo ni mchango wako wa aina yake kwa taifa lako.
Usilie rafiki yangu. Omba Mungu akulipie. Omba Mungu akulipe na kukufariji. Hujafa hujaumbika. Hata waliokutendea huo unyama hawajui mwisho wao. Badala ya kulia omba. Omba tupate mwanga na ukombozi. Omba umma ujitambue na kukataa huu utwana na ushenzi wa mchana kweupe.
Omba umma uwawajibishe wasiowajibika. Omba umma usimame na kupinga huu ushenzi, ufisadi na unyang’au unaotendwa na wenye mamlaka.
Ndugu yangu Kibanda usilie, lilia taaluma yako. Lia na kuomboleza ukisikia mwandishi mwingine ameuawa, kununuliwa, kunyamazishwa, kutumiwa, kujikomba hata kujituma kuwatumikia waovu na mafisadi. Lilia wasio na sauti wala mtetezi. Ni wengi yanawakuta yaliyokukuta, tena wasisikike wala kupelekwa nje kutibiwa.
Wapo wanaopigwa risasi kama swala. Wapo wanaopotezwa. Wapo wanaofungwa tena kwa kesi za kubambikiziwa. Lia ili machozi yako yawe kichocheo na zana adhimu ya ukombozi muhimu kwa taifa.
Rafiki yangu Kibanda, ingawa watesi wako wanadhani hawajulikani, hata ndege wanawajua. Kila mmoja anajua kuwa kuna siku uovu wao utawarudia na mchezo wao mchafu utafikia tamati.
Watesi wako wanajulikana, sema wamekuwa shirika na wale wanaopaswa kuwafikisha mahakamani. Nani wa kuwakamata? Wanaogopa wakiwakamata watamwaga mtama kwenye kuku wengi ili usiowategemea waumbuke na kuumbuliwa.
Tunawajua wamekodishwa. ni wauaji wa kukodishwa wanaoweza kuwadhuru hata mama zao ilmradi wamelipwa kufanya hivyo. Ni viumbe wa hovyo wasiopaswa kuishi hata kwa sekunde.
Wanaharamu hawa majinuni na habithi twawajua hata wanaowalipa watuumize na kutuua au kutunyamazisha. Je, tutanyamaza? Hasha! Kwani nani hatakufa huyo tumuone akiua wenzake?
Je, wanadhani watashinda siku zote? Ipo siku ya siku arobaini yao itafika kama ilivyowafikia wenzao waliotangulia. Nani alijua kuwa watu majinuni na wajivuni kama Muamar Gaddafi, Hosni Mubarak, Sadam Hussein na wengine wangekufa vifo vya aibu au kudondoshwa kama ubua?
Rafiki na ndugu yangu Kibanda, acha nimalizie kwa kukupa wosia wa mwisho. Nasema tena kwa kinywa kipana. Usiombe ulinzi wa polisi walioshindwa kukulinda kabla hayajakukuta. Ukifanya kosa watakumaliza. Walitaka kukumaliza Mungu akaingilia.
Usidhani Mungu siku zote atafanya kazi ya kukulinda wewe hata pale ambapo ungekwepa ushenzi na unyama huu. Je, sasa ufanye nini? Nakushauri usirudi. Maisha ni popote tena penya usalama kuliko nyumbani kwenye uhasama na mambo ya hovyo hovyo. Ukijidanganya kuwa ukirudi utatendewa haki uliyoikosa kabla ya kuumizwa jua umejimaliza.
Kwa wenye mamlaka haki ni wao kutenda wafanyavyo hata kama ni kuvunja na kuhujumu haki tena za walio wengi. Usifanye kosa ndugu yangu. Unadhani nguruwe anaweza kutoa harufu ya uturi au uvundo? Jibu unalo. Wanijua nakujua.
Fikiri juu ya hili ndugu yangu. Shika nasaha na busara zangu. Usikubali kung’atwa na nyoka mara mbili. Usidanganywe na tabasamu na maneno mazuri ya watesi wako. Usiwaamini wala kuwasikiliza wauaji waongo, wasanii na majambazi waliokubuhu. Waogope kama ukoma.
Ndugu yangu Kibanda, kwa leo haya yanatosha. Nasema moja tu. Pema ujapo pema ukipema si pema tena walisema wahenga.

Raila, take a leaf from Kibaki, Mandela, Reagan and Wade

It is now official that Raila Amolo Odinga, CORD’s presidential flag bearer, lost in the country’s general elections. The Supreme Court of Kenya in a verdict read by Dr Willy Mutunga, Kenya’s chief Justice, ruled that the 4th March’s elections were free and fair. It was puzzling to accept the fact that the results of other positions such as gubernatorial, senatorial and women representative were proper yet doubt the presidential ones. The six-judge bench’s unanimous decision, at last, brought the electoral tussles to rest. Now Kenya can move ahead.

It is time for the international community to hail Kenya’s democracy and respect the choice of Kenyans. President Uhuru Kenyatta, who will be sworn in on 9th April 2013, should now be congratulated and given support to run the country. Election losers and winners should come together as Kenyans and build their nation.

I know how much Raila Odinga struggled to see to it that Kenya enjoys democracy and human rights. He wanted to be part and parcel of this unfolding democratic nation. He tried his hand on the presidency three times to no avail. Again, is this the end as other say? Nope! I would like to advance what I will call the Kibaki-Wade theorem. This theorem is built on resilience and scheming to see to it that one wins presidency.

Although Odinga was criticized even faulted for taking the matter before the Supreme Court, legally speaking, he has nourished Kenya’s legal system by giving it a precedent. Such sentiments can be seen in another presidential candidate Martha Karua who was quoted as saying, "It is great that the first and most contested decision of the Supreme Court was unanimous. It is a good start for the court." So too, Odinga gave more credibility to the court and Uhuru Kenyatta’s presidency. It must be underscored that Odinga exercised and enjoyed his constitutional right among other things. I know Odinga has what it takes. Given that Kenya has matured democratically, chances are he’ll be able to run for presidency once again. Looking at how Mwai Kibaki ruled for five years to end up being challenged, Odinga still has the chance to try again.

Now that the elections are over, Kenyans need to nurse peace. The new government should see to it that all causative agents of the 2007-08 imbroglios are addressed. Apart from enhancing rule of law, economic growth, reconciliation, accountability and transparency, the new regime needs to redress the victims of the post-election violence who are still languishing in refugee camps in the country. So too, the new regime should see to it that it respects and implements the new constitution that is credited for all the development recently witnessed in Kenya.

Raila Odinga needs to learn from other politicians who came before him. One of those politicians is Mwai Kibaki who ascended to power at the age of 72. So too, Abdoulaye Wade, former Senegalese president, ran for presidency for good 30 years. He clinched the presidency when he was a bit older than Kibaki and he was able to rule for two terms. Had he not been stopped, Wade wanted to run for a third term. Also former US president Ronald Reagan ran for presidency since 1968 to 1980 when he last won. Like Kibaki and Wade, Reagan won the presidency when he was in his 70s. If this was possible to those three among many, why then shouldn't Odinga go peacefully back to the drawing board and aim at the future?

Now that everything has been done according to the letter and spirit of the law, Kenyans should go back to work so that they can build their nation. President Uhuru Kenyatta has extended open arms to all the contestants and urged them to work with him to realise the Kenyan dream. Since Kenya is bigger than any individual, Odinga and his allies ought to cooperate with the government in power.

Deposed: The former heir to Colonel Gaddafi's regime was held at the mercy of a rebel militia

Saif al Islam Gaddafi hundcuffed after being cornered by militants in Misurata.
Today I've remembered Saif al Islam Gaddafi, the son and heir to Muamar Gaddafi former, Libyan tinpot dicatator. I've remembered this tick on the back after evidencing how new Saifs in various African countries behave as if this did not happen yesterday.
We currently see wives and children of presidents behaving like their husbands or fathers. This is but an in-thing in Africa currently. In some countries such kids are even voted presidents as it recently happened in neighbouring Kenya.
Looking back at what happened to Gaddafi family-cum-regime, one wonders how some people have such dangerous brains in their craniums. They are behaving as if this did not happen just yesterday.
To remind them I have decided to bring Gaddafi back so that they can take a leaf.

Ghorofa laporomoka na kuua Mumbai India

Hivi majuzi Tanzania ilisifika kwenye vyombo vya habari vya kimataifa kutokana na kuporomoka kwa jengo la ghorofa 16 kwenye mtaa wa Indira Gandhi. Hata maiti za wahanga hazijaoza, jengo jingine la ghorofa saba limeporomoka mjini Mumbai India na kuua watu wengi.
Je kuna uhusiano wa ujenzi baina ya Tanzania na India? Bila shaka hasa ikizingatiwa kuwa mmilki wa jengo la Indira Gandhi alikuwa mhindi. Hii maana yake ni kwamba tunaanza kuingiza biashara chafu toka India baada ya kuwaachia watu wenye asili ya huko kumilki karibu biashara zote wakiwemo viongozi wetu.

Baada ya kupata kinywaji na simulizi za `wachovu’ walivyokufa vifo vya kutisha, nimepandwa na Mwenembago. Nabwabwaja.

Hamkumuona jamaa akijitia kuwa na huruma kwa kupiga kambi pale wakati kamba tu? Angekuwa sincere, angekwenda zake mapumziko mbugani? Bila shaka ana roho ngumu kwenda ‘kutanua’, wakati `wachovu’ wakiuawa kwa uzembe wa watendaji katika `sirikali’ yake.

How could a sane person go to enjoy while the kifusi had killed people a day before? Jamani, msidhani nawanga. Baada ya kushuhudia balaa la juzi jengo lilipopatwa usingizi na kuanguka, nimejihisi kuchanganyikwa.

Nikilala naota ubavu wangu wa mbwa ukianguka na kunyotoa roho. Nikibadili ndoto naona ghorofa ikinikimbiza iniangukie. Njiani kwenda kwa mama muuza ‘msosi’, kuna kijighorofa cha Mpemba.

Ninakiogopa kuliko ukoma, sorry to speak. Imefikia mahali mtoto akilia ukimwambia: Nitakupeleka maghorofani, ananyamaza haraka.

Tuache utani. Tubadili jina la kaya iwe Tanzia na mji mkuu uitwe Dar- es- Zahama. Sababu? Mosi, kwanini tujidanganye na bandari salama wakati bandarini kwenyewe wizi na udokozi mtupu?

Kwanini kujipa imani kuwa ni kaya ya salama na amani, wakati hakuna hata chembe ya vitu hivi? Hawa wanaokufa kutokana na wakubwa kula rushwa, wakiruhusu ujenzi wa kipuuzi, wana salama na amani?

Hivi jijini Dar -es- Zahama kuna amani? Jiji gani chafu, hovyo, hatari, lisilo na maji, mitaro ya maji machafu, mpangilio na hata maana? Ikinyesha mvua kidogo, linafurika vinyesi, huku watu wakifa kwa kiu ya kukosa maji safi.

Mabomba, badala ya kutoa maji, yanatoa bill. Bado mgao na ulanguzi wa umeme, misongamano barabarani na majumbani. Pamoja na yote haya, bado watu walalamika, badala ya kuchukua hatua!

Hili nalo lahitaji wafadhili wa kuwakomboa? Shame on you! Yaani aibu iwe juu yenu.

Heri kaya iitwe Tanzia. Sababu? Imejaa tanzia. Jumba limeporomoka likanyonga. Kifusi kule Moshono kimenyonga. Trafiki kasimamisha magari manne kwa mpigo, yamegongana.

Kila siku tunapata taarifa za kuuawa mazeruzeru, ndata kuua, waandishi wa umbea kama Absalom Kibanda, matabibu kama Ulimboka wanaotekwa na kuteswa, wakifanyiwa `kitu mbaya’, ufisadi, ubabaishaji, usanii, ufujaji, uzuruaji wa wakubwa na kila upuuzi.

Mara kwa mara meli zilizojazwa kupitia uwezo na zisizokidhi viwango zinaua, madawa `feki’, umasikini wa kujitakia na kila upuuzi vinaua.

Nani anajali? Uwanja wa ndege wanachana mabegi. Sum all of them up. Nini matokeo? Misiba, misiba, misiba…ad infinitum. Wasiojua kilatini, maana yake ni bila ukomo.

Nina usongo na ule `mkampuni’ wa ujenzi wa maghorofa ya mauaji wa Ladha. Hata kama ni mali ya diwani, nitamfanyia `kitu mbaya’ kwa mujibu wa sheria za nchi.

Je, wajua kuwa ghorofa zinazojengwa tulipoanza sera za uholela na uhujumaa na kujimegea, ni mabomu yanayongoja kuua?

Je, wajua: Majengo yote yaliyojengwa baada ya kuhalalisha rushwa, kitu ya kitu kidogo na kitu kikubwa ni balaa kuliko hata tsunami?

Japo naongea kilevi, huo ndio ukweli mtupu? Hii haitokani na huzuni na kukata tama, bali utafiti niliofanya kwa walevi wasomi ninaokamata nao `ulabu’.

Tumegundua kumbe ‘watuwala’ wetu si wa kujifunza. Kuna mlevi aliyetufunga kamba kuwa amewahi kufanya kazi Ikulu.

Akasema eti watu wetu waendapo `majuu’ ima huwa wanatembea usiku au kuupiga kiasi cha kushidwa kujifunza mazuri, kama vile majengo imara na mazuri, madaraja na hata barabara.

Wanajali nini iwapo hawataishi huko? Hamkusikia kuwa yule mchukuaji aliyekuwa akijenga ghorofa ‘lililonyonga’, alikamatwa uwanja wa ndege akielekea zake kwao?

Alijua alichofanya. Angekuwa mlevi angekimbia aende wapi? Bado hatujifunzi! Mbona Chavda alitusaidia alipotuibia akikimbilia zake India, hatukujifunza?

Kaya imegeuka kama choo! Kila mtu ana-download `saizi’ yake kwa `staili’ yake. Hata chooni kuna nafuu maana kuna ustaarabu wake na si kama kaya hii inayochezewa na kila kibaka.

Nitapiga marufuku NHC kuuza viwanja vya umma kifisadi kama ilivyokuwa kwenye uchafu huu. Hata kama hawakiri, `mghorofa’ ulioua ni `dili’ lenye kila harufu ya ufisadi.

Nitapeleka muswada bungeni wa sheria ya kunyonga na kufilisi wanaojenga nyumba za mauaji.

After thinking about running for presidency in Bongolalaland to no avail, I've devised an easy way of making it to the state house. Firstly, I thought of changing my name to Riz Kiquette so that I can enjoy economic and financial preference to no avail. As I was grappling with this desire-cum-idea, the window of opportunity opened in Kenya. I've devised a hi-tech trick.

Surely, this trick will see me through this time around. Read silently. I’m intending to change my name from Nkwazi Mhango to Nkwazi Bill Uhuruto arap Kinyatta. So too, I’ll change my tribe and become a Kikukalenji. This becomes a deal after learning how U-Independence Kenyatta won presidency in the country his father found and screwed. He’s now the top of his father’s private-estate turned state.

As I comfortably sip my kanywaji, I’m thinking like Kenyatta, a millionaire-cum-president. You know what. Bongolalaland is wicked. Nobody votes along tribal lines like in my new country. In Bongo, even if you’re from a super duper tribe nobody from your tribe votes for you. In Bongo, you can only make it easily to presidency if you've a good network aka mtandao and takrima or bribe. Bongolalaland’s politics, I heard one analyst during Kenya’s elections saying that are static. I hated this. But what would I do if this is how others see us?

Given that presidency for me is the only thing thanks to my new invention of changing identity, soon after being sworn in, I’ll see to it that I grab land so as to have the land the size of Tabora Region. For those whose land will be taken, shall be redressed through cobbling a union with other hunks that still have land that's up for grabs. So too, I’ll make sure that all important institutions, highways, roadways and whatnot are named after my daddy, mom and myself.

Soon you’ll have Nkwazi Universities, Hospitals, roads, airports and what have you. So too, you’ll hear of schools being named after my mom, aunts, sisters and nyumba ndogo. How does it sound to hear say Nkwazi International Airport or Nkwazi Airbase? I will change the history of the world by making sure that even Mount Kilimanjaro is named after me. I know this won’t augur well for thinkers. Again, for tinkers who love me because we are from the same tribe, it’ll be a patriotic move. I’m planning to name the Old Bagamoyo Road after my boozing uncle.

What I like about the politics in my new country's the fact that there are yahoos who are ready to die and kill for me. Again, things have changed. Instead of dying for me and make me face International Criminal Court (ICC), they’ll massively vote for me and avoid having a bad name resulting from such chaos and massacres.

I remember one guy that I adore hugely. This is Bassie Pesambili Mrambaramba who once told the Bongolalalanders to their face that he’d purchase a presidential jet even if it meant paupers to eat grasses. Like Joni Malicela, Mramba²told those who opposed his nugatory plan to go to hell. Like Cleophas Devie Msuya, Mramba²told detractors to carry their own crosses.

You know what. I discovered that politics sometimes is like madness. It blinds the minds so as to force people act and behave at their own peril. For Pete’s sake, how do you vote for a tycoon whose policies are clearly known to be making more money on your expense? Again, you'll hear such people in bondage laughing at others in a different type of megalomania such as systemic corruption and lack of changes.

If anything, political madness is another reason that geared me into inventing name change so as to become president in order to mint and print more money. After discovering that politics pays more than anything, I've decided to abandon my profession of boozing so that I can make a killing easily. I like politics. Whatever you do regardless whether makes sense or not, you’re paid handsomely. My friends the members of Mjengoni know this too well. Have you forgotten posho ya makalio or seating allowance? What of seminars on hoo-ha, ballyhoo and abracadabra? Presidency is more than that. It enables your family, courtiers, bootlickers and you to live in the heaven before you die. You globe-trot and spend as you deem fit. You tell no lies. Even if you promise empty promises nobody makes you responsible once it is known that they’re but empty ones. You promise paupers the heaven and give them the heck and nobody crucifies you.

Being president is next to being infallible. You err not. Whatever you do is praised and accepted even if it is unacceptable. Do you know why poverty swells every now and then while those in power promised goodies? It is because those guys are untouchable. They've the power. Whoever tries to question their ulaji and venality is being ‘Kibandered’ if not ‘Ulimbokered.’

Jokes aside, next general elections, my name will be on the ballot papers. Given that I've changed my name, surely, all people from my tribe of boozers (kikukalenji) must vote for me. They must do so knowingly that when I enjoy they too will enjoy. Given that news reached me that our land is now being given to illegal immigrants and illegal investors, being your president I’ll grab it and keep it for you. Mungu awape nini to have such a wise president in waiting like me!

Years have wound off since the ace Wahome Mutahi or Simba of Slopes and other aliases, kicked the bucket. May Ngai award him much fun? Ni wega muno Ngai witu. I can't wait till July 22 the day Wahome passed away.
I used to like, love even hate Wahome or son of soil who is asleep in the womb of his mother-cum father in Munungaine county in the country of Mount so and so Mafia.
Yesterday I dreamed him sipping Kanywaji at Mwihiguro pub in Kawangware. The other day I dreamed that we're together in Lamu or the land of mermaids and mnazi as we're looking for Khadijas to marry disguising we’re still bachelor. As if.

I'm not new to Kenya especially Nairoberry and Mombasa. But looking at the whole hunk of Wahome on Mombasa, I found myself re-dreaming of the land of mnazi the liquor I like so much and majini-genies alias imaginative creatures I fear so much. Those that do not fear them let go there and hit cats at night. Have you ever heard of waniumiziani weye? As the cats wonder and asks: why are you humiliating and hurting me?
Going back to the son of soil alias Simba of Slopes, I have some worries about the man and the estate he left behind. Does someone there know what is going on pertaining to Pajero, Thatcher and Whis Junior?
How many do care even to touch base with these creatures through which Wahome made many smile and sometimes hate their images?
We used to smile and laugh due to what Wahome cooked for us. Who cares to even touch base with his widow whose whereabouts I don’t even know? Guys, bin-Adams sometimes tend to behave as if one day they’ll never return the number to their creator!
Guys, when Wahome was not past tense, we used to smile every Sunday. Now that he is no more, many smiles on our living faces went under with him. But will even our memories go under with the man? Do we really know what legacy really means? Shame on us all! Did we really love Wahome or his food for thoughts and spices for laughter?
Shall this happen, indeed we'll be thankless and evil so to speak. Gone's Wahome but not his estate and legacy. Can Daily nation and The Monitor think of doing something about Wahome?
I for one, to do something about the Warrior Son of Soil, will be spawning my talk in the commemoration of the man. Shall I not fit in his shoes; I propose: you all laugh at me. Laugh at me till you cry for joy of laughing at me. First of all, those intending to laugh at me should note: Wahome was my brother- the Son of the Sister of the Sister of my Great-great Grandma who married a Kenyan Muthamaki. I know these good at laughing at others will start laughing at me for saying the late was my bro. They're dead wrong. Who knew Kenyan Baraka Hussein Obama from Kongero gichagi would be a blood relation of George Bush? Guys this is the world of DNA.
The sinless should be the first to laugh at me. For me, to forget Wahome makes all that used to enjoy his world sinners; if they happen to forget him.

Now that the dust is settled and the big man from the slope of Gatundu is enjoying his while thanks to a new constitution and the science of voting along tribal lines Kenyans need to focus ahead. Mark you. I am talking about Moi Kibaki the foe-turned friend of Daniel arap Mwai.
As Wahome would put it, what happened recently resulted from the cursed opponents who would like to see Kenya sinking into chaos under certain foreign forces. If not, why then when elections were stolen in the big nation whose head answers to the same names like thicket, Forest, Bush or Waititu, Githaka and others people did not kill, rape or humiliate others?
More on Wahome, rich as he's for having an investment in Pajero, Whis junior, the warrior in making and Thatcher herself, I have my Lucy-Tyson. I also have Wambui who instead of being an investment is loss making. How couldn't she if the Margariyans have already "atturred" her? As for my son, he is more like a girl than a warrior.
Whilst Wahome feared his Thatcher simply because she was iron lady, mine is renowned for clobbering even beating all people with loud mouths or tongue wagers without forgetting camera men.
My family lives everywhere the republic of Nyayo in Nairobi, Kakamega, Kisumu, Mombasa though it may be permanently stationed in either Lavington or Kawangware Nairobi.
In the commemoration of the man whose head had lost its manure so as to let the grasses cascade to nowhere- Wahome Mutahi.
By the way, I've this problem. You know what? My Lucy-Tyson who also is my bedroom partner wants to know as to why I switch off my handset every night even though she does the same. I told her that if I ever receive a call at night, many enemies of our faithful marriage would take the chance to saw oats in order to see us separated so that they take over. What would you tell yours? One thing, to outsmart her, I shall make sure all addresses in my phone are of men only even if the real owners are skirt wearers.

Watafiti nchini Ufaransa wamekuja na mpya baada ya kugundua kuwa kumbe imani kuwa kuvaa sidiria zenye kubana manyonyo zinayafanya yasianguke. Utafiti ulichapishwa hivi karibuni umeonyesha matokeo kinyume kiasi cha kushawishika kuwa watengeneza hizi chupi za maziwa kuna siku watajikuta hawana wateja hasa baada ya wanawake wa kimarekani kuujua ukweli. Ajali mbili za anga katika nchi na mabara tofauti zinafanana kwa kitu kimoja au viwili hata zaidi. Kwanza, katika ajali hizi abiria wote walitoka salama. Pili, ndege zote ziliishia majini. Tofauti ni kwamba ndege ya kwanza ya Lion Air ambayo ilipata ajali jana ilianguka baada ya kuvuka uwaja wakati ndege ya pili ya US Airways ilianguka baada ya kushindwa kufika uwanjani. When the world woke up to hear that a section of British people staged a demo happily singing, rejoicing and celebrating the passing on of their former PM Margret Thatcher, it received it with mixed reactions. Some thought what those Brits were doing to sing Ding Dong! The Witch is Dead! was their right while others thought otherwise. For Africa, no doubt, Thatcher was the witch who was ready to enter any pact with any killers and racists just because there were some monies to be made. The living example is Thatcher's refusal to extend sanctions to Apartheid Regime in South Africa. She, too was, a great backer and friend of dictators such as Idd Amin, Hastings Kamuzu Banda, Mobutu Seseseko and other many more. Sadly though, many Africa presidents have ignored of forgotten history so as to praise Thatcher will Brits see her as a witch especially the hoi polloi. Shame on all who have ignored and forgotten history or who embarked on cheap politics aimed at gaining Britain sympathy by showering Thatcher with praises she did not deserve. Kuna watu wachokozi na wabishi duniani sina mfano! Hayo hapo juu si maneno yangu bali mlevi mmoja anayejiita mwana falsafa wa kizazi hiki. Bwana huyu, licha ya kuwa mlevi, huibua hoja zenye kufikirisha hata wakati mwingine kukera. Naamua kuwasilisha ‘vitu vyake’ kama vilivyo---bila kuyachuja wala kuchakachua. Sina tabia ya kuzuia watu kufikiri hata kama wanavyofikiri vinaweza kuwa kero. Hata hivyo, ukitaka kuepuka kero duniani, jifanye kama haupo wala huna thamani kuliko wengine. Ukijitia kimbelembele cha kujiona ni bora na sahihi kuliko wengine, hao wengine watakuudhi utamani kujinyotoa roho. Mie humo simo wala sitakuwamo. Mie si fala hivyo ati!

Kwanza, niseme mapema ili tusijelaumiana bila sababu ya msingi. Sina dini zaidi ya ulabu. Seriously, wakati wengine wakiapa kwa misahafu yao mie naapa na chupa ya gongo na msokoto wa ganja. Kwani dini ni nini zaidi ya imani? Hakuna imani inayoweza kushinda imani nyingine kama tutaondoa mawenge na makengeza. Hakuna imani inayoweza kukuonyesha kitu kwa uhalisia wake zaidi ya kutumia mifano na hadithi, ngano visa na heakaya. Hayo tuyaache. Naheshimu dini zote kwa sharti kwamba ziheshimu dini yangu. Kama dini yako inapiga vita ulabu ujue unavunja na kupinga sheria za walevi.

Juzi kwenye kikao chetu tukikamata kanywaji ilitokea mpya. Baada ya mlevi mmoja kusikia habari za ugomvi juu ya nani achinje au kutochinja, alikuja na mpya. Alidai eti ana nguruwe wake na angependa yeyote mwenye kuruhusiwa kuchinja akamchijie ili kuepuka kuingia mtafaruko. Wakati jamaa akisema haya kulikuwa kumetokea mapambano na minyukano huko Mwanza na Tunduma wakigombea kuchinja. Hii ilitokea wakati tukishangaa: Inakuwaje watu wagombee vitu vidogo na vya kibinafsi hivi kana kwamba hawana vitu vya maana vya kufanya?

Baada ya mlevi kuja na hoja yake, nilimpa laivu kuwa sina ugomvi na hilo. Akichinja mchinjaji au asiyemchinjaji mie natwanga tu. Mie hata ukitwanga nyundo au kunyonga naramba tu. Kwani tumboni kuna sheria zaidi ya njaa? Ukila haramu halali kibudu au whatever mwisho wa yote unaishia kudownload chooni. Ingekuwa amri yangu kuna vyakula hasa aina ya samaki ningeharamisha. Maana kuna mifish ina sura mbaya sina mfano. Mingine inanuka sina mfano! Anyways hayo tuyaache.

Pia nilimuonya mlevi kuwa atajiingiza kwenye mzozo na mjadala wa kipuuzi wa nani achinje na nani asichinje. Msimamo wangu simpo. Kama mzee Ruksa, kula kitu roho inataka ilmradi kisinitapishe wala kuniletea madhara. Kwangu, ugomvi ungekuwa kwenye uhalali na uharamu wa nani kafuga lakini si nani achinje ingeniingia akilini hata kama nafikiri kilevi.

Sasa nisaidie nimsaidie mlevi mwenzangu. Anasema alipewa zawadi ya kitomoto na wakwe zake na ana usongo na kitu ile. Anasema,hachagui dini bali usongo wake ni kutaka kutafuna kitu ile. Je amuite nani amchinjie kitu hii? Maana, sisi walevi hatutaki shari na yeyote. We are the bin-Adams of peace and only peace. So whenever you read this, please take seriously and sincerely. Lo! Ulabu nao! Yaani sijavuta bangi zangu naongea kikameruni hivi. Je nikishaliweka itakuwa mbwai? Forgive me for my ukameruni.

Tuache utani. Kumbe kila kitu duniani ni darasa. Kabla ya mlevi kuja na wazo la kutafuta mchinjaji wa kitimoto yake sikuwa nimeangalia utata huu. Naona utata ambao unahitaji wana falsafa kama mimi kuutatua. Naona hatari mbele ya safari. Kuna siku watataokea watu kutupangia nini tule, tupike, tunywe hata wapi tutembelee na kutembea kwa staili ipi. Hivyo, kwa sisi walevi kuona hatari hii, tunaamua kutoa mapwenti na mawazo ya kuwasaidia wachovu waepuke kuingia mkenge huu. Nadhani tangu tuliponyaka Uhuru wetu wa hovyo, tulikubaliana kuwa kila mtu ana uhuru wa kufanya atakavyo ilmradi asivunje sheria.

Juzi nilisoma sehemu kuwa katika kaya hii hakuna sheria inayomzuia au kumruhusu mtu kuchinja. Kila mmoja anaweza kuchinja ilmradi asimchinje binadamu mwenzake kama wale washenzi wanaochinja na kuua mazeruzeru. Nakubaliana na busara hii ikizingatiwa kuwa kuchinja si kazi sawa na kufuga au kununua hicho kichinjwacho. Hebu niwamegee kidogo mjadala wa kuchinja ulivyokuwa. Alikuja mlevi mmoja aitwaye Shebby Machungi. Huyu bwana anasifika kwa kupenda sana nyama. Machungi ni mwenyeji wa Mashindei, Lushoto. Yeye huiita Ushoto. Kwanza, alipokuja alikuwa na mpango wa kunifundisha ngoma za kwao ili nikiwa narejea kutoka kupiga ulabu nijiimbie. Badala ya kuendelea na kufundishana ngoma alileta wazo la kimasaburi la kugombea kuchinja.

Siku moja kabla tulikuwa tukiongolea ngoma ya Kidembwa na mdumange ambazo nilitokea kuzizimia. Hii ilitokea baada ya kumsimulia safari yangu ‘nchini’ mwake ambapo nilitembelea maeneo kama Nyasa, Kwembago, Shashui, Magira, Mbelei,Kwesime, Baga,Mgwashi,Kongoi, Bumbui, Mazumbai, Malimbwi, Kwemakame, Kwekanga, Kwai (msichanganye na River Kwai kule Uthailandini), Kwenkwazi, Kwenkuzi, Lukozi, Kongei, Kizelui, Kweshashi, Kwenesaa na Kwemachungi, Kwemlazi,Kwemtonto, Kwezumi,Kwemdoe, Kishewa,Kwemtonga, Kwekitui, Makanka. Ukiondoa KweNkwazi na KweNkuzi yaliyobaki majina ya ajabu ajabu kama dawa za kienyeji!

Kilichomuua Machungi ni kugundua kuwa nayanyaka majina yote hapo juu kichwani tu bila kusoma popote. Alishangaa kipaji hiki. Nilimwambia kuwa hayo ni madogo. Maana ninajua karibu majina ya nusu ya miji yote duniani bila kutazama kwenye kitabu. Hayo tuyaache.

Kuhusu nani achinje, kesho utasikia ndugu zangu akina njomba nao wakiuliza nani anaruhusiwa kunchinja chamaki nchanga. Nashukuru: Kule kwa akina Mwauka bwanji na muli bwanji hakuna kamchezo haka ka kugombea kuchinja. Maana wanavyochinja mbewa na kugombea mbewa zanga ingekuwa noma kama siyo so. Kwa wasiojua nimaanishacho ni kwamba ukivuka mpaka wa Kasumulu pale Mbeya ukaingia nchi ya Maravi usishangae kuona panya wamebanikwa na kutembezwa mitaani kama pweza na ngisi. Kwa ufupi ni kwamba hawa jamaa wakiamua kugombea kuchinja, sijui nani atakuwa tayari kuwachinja hawa jamaa wapenda karanga? It is indeed a challenge and wakeup call that not all that grimmer are diamond. Wakati mwingine tunaweza kugombea vitu tusivyojua au tukivijua vikazuka ambavyo hatukutegemea.

Du yule manzi ana masaburi makubwa hayo! Sijui huyu naye anapaswa kuchinja. Sorry, nilipotea mawazo kiasi cha kubwabwaja. Hi kwa walevi wasomaji wangu wote popote mlipo.

How did you feel when you read news that anybody can easily hacker into plane computer and set it even on the collision course? Firstly, I thought it was a prank little knowing it was true! I am trying to imagine. If no protective measures are taken what will happen to air travelers especially at this time terrorism is an in-thing? Are we still safer or are just waiting to be toasted?

Mkapa, are you seriously or what?

Former presider Benny Mkapa sickened boozers when he chided Jake Kikwete’s government to adhere to Nyerere’s legacy--- accountability, responsibility, vision and fighting graft among many. Mkapa derided the government for not keeping up with the principles Nyerere laid down. Those in the know thought he’s taking a dig at President Kikwete. When those in the know don’t know boozers know and ask. Are things falling apart or what? How come that Mkapa is seeing the light late? Is there anything new we see today that Mkapa did not do or cause?

Mkapa, who’s a chief guest, launched his missiles from Bukoba during the installation of Bishop Desdelius Rwoma recently. He’s quoted as saying that current leadership can’t take us anywhere in protecting the existing peace. Therefore, future leaders need to follow the principles that Mwalimu Nyerere left to protect peace in the country.” Mkapa erred. To put it bluntly, doesn’t he see how we’re going backward that’s somewhere?

Swahili sage’s it: A baboon doesn't see its ass. It laughs at and sees the asses of others. It is true Mwalimu left a peaceful country Mkapa violated favouring investors as opposed to boozers. Mkapa’s rule was a Tophet to the Bongolalalanders he used to say they’re lazy at thinking little knowing he too was! Mkapa enhanced and protected peace by embarking on Zanzibar massacres of 2001 whereby, for the first time, Tanzania produce refugees.

Jokes aside, can Kikwete beat Mkapa in violating Nyerere’s principles? Does Mkapa remember how Nyerere died heartbroken after knowing a true Mkapa he didn’t know before? He breathed his last crying for Tanzanians after learning that he put them in wrong hands of Mkapa. Doesn’t Mkapa remember this too? Somebody needs to remind him of this reality.

One can ask: Why didn’t Mkapa abide by the principles he’s advocating now? Is it better than thou or hypocrisy? If Kikwete is rotten Mkapa too is. Doesn't Mkapa know that Kikwete’s style of ruling is his carryover if not a prolongation? They all are members of venal CCM. Does Mkapa support the opposition that’s always maintained that CCM has become bankrupt and moribund politically? If so, well done Ben! For even Nyerere once averred that CCM’s neither his mother nor his father.

I don’t want Mkapa’s assertion to force me think he’s a liar if not seeking cheap popularity. How come Mkapa’s easily, and within a short time, forgotten how he created unnecessary classes of investors, members of CCM and opposition in Tanzania? Has he forgotten his role in EPA scam whose money’s used to bribe voters?

Let’s remind Mkapa: Current high level of poverty and corruption picked up after he sold our parastatals at a throwaway price. Has Mkapa forgotten how he sabotaged the National Bank of Commerce (NBC) and Tanzania National Electric Supply Company Limited (TANESCO) when he allowed his brothers- in- law to bring Net Group Solution that made away with our dosh?

One of Nyerere’s legacies is the promotion and protection of public property. What of Mkapa? Dishing them out to real and bogus investors! To crown it all, Mkapa took Kiwira coalfield.

Mkapa doesn’t need to make a dig on others using Nyerere he failed miserably. He’s no moral ground whatsoever. Again, those who know Mkapa are not shocked to hear his noises. Nyerere’s blamed for superimposing Mkapa on Tanzanians who later let him down. I still remember how Nyerere went to China to find investors who later saved Urafiki from Mkapa’s fangs. Has Mkapa forgotten how Kikwete saved him after wananchi wanted him prosecuted for corruption, doing business while in power and abuses of the office?

Mkapa dwelt on peace referring to the current religious misunderstandings and enmity. Again, how can peace exist without justice? Mkapa failed to underscore the fact that what he calls religious hatred is nothing but people’s disillusionment resulting from lack of protection which forced them to rely on whatever cabals. Has Mkapa forgotten how he allowed his wife to use a dubious NGO to mint and print dosh? Where is EOTF today? No donor wants to see it given that it can’t reciprocate by enabling him to land lucrative deals in the government. All donors have now turned their backs. They’re in bed with WAMA that’ll be avoided after Jake hits the road in 2015.

I still remember how Mkapa reprimanded the media for telling him the truth regarding how corrupt his regime was. He fired back saying that those accusing his regime were so too corrupt. He wanted to know where they got monies to establish their business. For Mkapa nothing would be done without involving corruption.

I still remember how he nullified Jenerali Ulimwengu’s citizenship after becoming a thorn in a shoe.

Only one person can help Mkapa. This is Freddie Sumaye who recently was quoted as saying, “Remember what happened in Mtwara (Mkapa’s home region), people torched houses even those of long time Members of Parliament simply because one motorist was ran on, although he did not die, all this resulted from pent-up anger and thoughts that they (people) are so treated because of their poverty.”

Suffice it to say, everybody can accuse the current government but not Mkapa. “To forget one's purpose is the commonest form of stupidity,” Friedrich Nietzsche.

ICC and Kenya: Museveni Got it Wrong

I will be shocked if the legal fraternity in Kenya and East Africa in general won’t react towards recent salvos leveled by Ugandan Strongman Yoweri Museveni. Museveni’s recent attacks on the International Criminal Court (ICC) must be condemned. During the swearing-in of Kenya’s new president Uhuru Kenyatta, Museveni saluted “… Kenyan voters on...the rejection of the blackmail by the International Criminal Court (ICC) and those who seek to abuse this institution for their own agenda." Museveni’s remarks, which amount to the contempt of court, reveal that most likely, he does not respect the courts in Uganda.

Kenyans did not vote for President Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, based on indictment. They voted on the basis of the belief that the duo would govern Kenya well. So too, Kenyan elections were not about rejecting or endorsing the ICC; they were about getting a new leadership after the one that was in power lapsed its constitutional term in office. Simple! I don’t know how the victims of the 2007- 08 Post-Election Violence felt when they heard Museveni’s remarks.

Museveni attacked the ICC pointlessly. The ICC has nary been an ambulance chaser. Whatever issue that is brought before the ICC is brought by the way of application from individuals or countries looking for legal settlement. This is what happened regarding Kenya’s ICC case. Kenya went before the ICC seeking its intervention in trying PEV. What is wrong here? Why didn't Museveni wait for the ICC to reach its verdict and say whatever he wants to?

Is Museveni saying what he is saying just because his file on alleged atrocities in DR Congo has not been opened? It is still early Mr. Museveni! Even Charles Taylor once daydreamed that his crimes would not be brought before the light.

"I was one of those that supported the ICC because I abhor impunity," Mr. Museveni says. If this is true, why haven’t his consigliore implicated in multi-million scandals been brought to book? Why was he forced to reimburse donor money using public coffers?

"I am confirming that we have paid the Irish [and] we shall pay the others (donors) who want their money back…We are making a lot of progress on that front,” Says Museveni’s deputy secretary of Treasury, Keith Muhanikizi. If Museveni ‘abhors’ impunity as he’d like everybody to believe, why did he pay the monies back by even committing another crime of breaking into the treasury instead of letting the implicated personalities in the scandal to face the judicial process? Is this the way Museveni abhors impunity - by blessing it?

Media in Uganda reported of massive theft involving donor money. At least $22.2 million meant for recovery and development activities in northern Uganda and Karamoja was allegedly swindled, infuriating donors who, in a meeting with President Museveni, demanded for a refund of their stolen cash.

Kenya’s ICC indictees are innocent until the ICC rules otherwise. Kenyans know what is going on. They don’t need any tutor to teach them what it is. I urge all those who wrongly think like Museveni to respect the ICC and the intelligence of Kenyans.

In sum, Kenyans did not vote along the lines of who was indicted or not but they voted for those they wanted, believing these would stir and man their nation. Saying that Kenyans voted for Kenyatta and Ruto simply because they’re indicted is to belittle them so to speak. This should not be accepted.
